Mary spent the last 5 years working and rising into leadership and management in the non-profit sector, mostly in the animal welfare field prior to coming to SOS. During that time she became very passionate about providing programs to people in our community that needed extra assistance caring for their pets, this naturally led to her expanding into the social service realm. Mary recently achieved her master’s degree in public administration with a focus in nonprofit management at the University of New Hampshire. Mary has experienced substance use disorder in her own family and empathizes with the impacts SUD can have at the family and community level. She is a huge advocate for empowering people and not limiting who a person is capable of becoming by pushing people into figurative boxes.
